What is Knitted Wire Mesh?
Wire filter mesh is made from individual wires that are interlaced, or knitted, together. Just like a sweater, the loops are strategically woven so they may move and stretch without coming unfurled. This configuration allows knitted wire mesh to be very flexible. As long is it is not stressed beyond its designated yield point, the mesh will return to and maintain its original shape. The flexibility, durability, and versatility of knitted wire mesh is what makes it ideal for a wide range of applications and finished products, including oil mist extractors.
CWI manufactures bulk mesh for use in a wide range of applications. It can be used on its own, or in conjunction with structural supports for mist eliminators, seals, and other types of filters. Our bulk mesh is available in the same mesh densities and alloys as our finished demister pads, and it is always customized to your specifications.
